Driv Kapital Fund I acquires 73% of the shares in Bislett Kebab House (BKH). The founders continue to own 25%. In addition, two of Driv's top advisors from the Scandinavian restaurant industry, Adriano Capoferro and Simon Simonnæs, have invested the remaining 2% and will resume Board positions. Driv has worked closely with the founders since fall 2022.
The five Aziz brothers, led by Tariq Aziz, founded Bislett Kebab House in 1995 with a vision to offer generous portions and high-quality meals at affordable prices. Through their dedication and commitment to quality, BKH quickly became a go-to destination for delicious kebabs and other flavorful dishes in the quick-service restaurant segment. Today, BKH operates 12 restaurants in the Greater Oslo area, and is the clear market leader within the Norwegian kebab industry.
Under the new partnership, Bislett Kebab House plans to leverage Driv Kapital's expertise to further develop the organization, accelerate the rollout of new restaurants, and explore other growth opportunities.
The closing of the transaction took place on 11 May 2023.
